Many people complain to me about the quality or rather lack of quality of the street lighting and I must say I would have to agree with them, as even when there were boom times, such lights were never replaced. Now that resources have disappeared it is even going to be longer before matters improve. However, I do hope that we dont have to mirror what I observed recently in England, where in some estates the public lighting was shut down from 11pm at night until 6am now thats something to contemplate!!!

I am writing to you about public lights.
We have a few street lights (6 and 8 beside 12 Oakley Gardens and The Close n:1) that are not working in our estate (Wolstan Haven, Celbridge).
Can you get somebody to fix these lights as soon as possible
because my daughter walks home at 9pm from training
and there are alot of drunk people around this area.

This issue is very important from a security point of view and as your area is represented (I believe) by Cllr Michael (Spike ) Nolan.
