Many trees have fallen on public roads during the heavy storms and many more trees have been dislodged and are in a dangerous condition. Cork County Council is appealing to landowners to check their roadside boundaries for trees that may have become dislodged but have not yet fallen. Such an incident occurred yesterday when a very large tree on the R610 at Raffeen fell onto the road and hit an Eircom van. Though the van was occupied thankfully there was no injury.
