Meeting with Anti Septic Tank Charges Group

Early today we met with representatives of the above and set out for us their 17 points which are a cause for concern.  There were genuinely worried and asked that the registration process be deferred until full criteria has been published.  They fully accepted the point that dirty or untreated effulent cannot be allowed poison the environment but made the point that when most applied for planning permission they full complied with the regulations and now feel they are further targeted unnecessarily.  However, after discussion,we urged them to wait until the full criteria is published and a full and frank consultation will ensue.  We will, no doubt, be meeting all concerned in the near future.
