Clarke’s Hill/Moneygourney update

I have just received an update regarding the resurfacing works on the Clarke’s Hill/Moneygourney roads taking in the entrance to Mount Oval Village and the Garryduff area. As residents of the area will know, upgrades have been underway for sometime now and I was anxious to establish when they can expect these to conclude.

In response to my enquiries, I have been notified by the engineer that the council “intend starting the laying of water main and drainage between Garryduff and Foxwood in the coming weeks. On completion of this work, we will then undertake surfacing work of the entire area in the months of August / September. The surfacing works will take a period of approximately 4 to 6 weeks to complete”.

I hope this helps the residents of the area and if anyone would like to contact me for any reason you may do so with the details above.

Regards,
Cllr. Deirdre Forde
